Greek Mythology Commercials
As culminating activity for our unit on Greek Mythology, the students recently created their own unique products along with supporting commercials to advertise their products.

The students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades learned about the benefits of composting while planting their school garden.
The students then collaborated on a composting rap based on what they learned.
COMPOSTING RAP
Composting greens is so much fun
It starts with plants harvested under the sun
You take a pile of food and throw it in the bin
Spin it round and round till you start to grin
We’re doing what’s best and we know we should
We’re doing it together and we know what’s good
Bacteria works to make things simple and small
Along with insects they break down it all
The circle of life is near complete
‘Till we add it to the dirt to grow things we eat
We’re doing what’s best and we know we should

The nutrients from compost make the soil fine
It nourishes each flower, leaf and vine
So give it a try it’s easy to do

The students in the 3rd and 4th grades performed a puppet show based on Christopher Columbus's maiden voyage to the New World. Students were inspired to create their puppets after completing their Social Studies unit on early exploration.
The students in the 3rd and 4th grades performed a puppet show based on Christopher Columbus's maiden voyage to the New World. Students were inspired to create their puppets after completing their Social Studies unit on early exploration.
The students in the 5th grade performed a puppet show based on the travels of Hernando Cortez. Students designed their puppets upon completion of their Social Studies unit on the Spanish Conquistadors.
